If you are looking for a transparent Flying Dutchman from SpongeBob, the movie ship playset is the closest match: it includes a translucent character figure that lights up when placed in the crow’s nest. For a standalone display piece, consider the Youtooz figure or either Funko Pop. The plush is a better choice for fans who want a soft, oversized character-themed cuddle pillow.

Movie Ship Playset With Translucent Dutchman
This playset is the strongest choice for shoppers specifically searching for a transparent Flying Dutchman. Its included figure is described as translucent and glows when placed in the ship’s crow’s nest. The ship also has hidden wheels that create a rocking motion as it moves across a surface.
- Best for: Kids ages 3 and up, and fans who want a transparent figure with a larger playset.
- Why it stands out: It includes six exclusive figures, including SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, the translucent Dutchman, and two deep-sea creatures.
- Keep in mind: The lighting feature is described as working when the figure is placed in the crow’s nest.
Youtooz Flying Dutchman Vinyl Figure
The Youtooz figure is a standalone collectible with a ghostly green body, raised hands, and a toothy grin. It stands 4.5 inches tall on a swirling ghost tail and includes recognizable details such as a captain’s hat, blazer, beard, and braided pigtails.
- Best for: Collectors who want a character figure without a ship or multiple accessories.
- Why it was selected: Its distinctive ghost design makes the character easy to recognize on a desk or shelf.
- Keep in mind: The listing describes a vinyl figure, not a translucent or light-up figure.
Funko Pop Flying Dutchman
This Amazon Exclusive Funko Pop presents the Flying Dutchman as a compact vinyl collectible, measuring approximately 3.75 inches tall. Its smaller format suits collectors looking for a character-focused figure that can fit in a display case or on a desk.
- Best for: Fans who prefer a small, recognizable collectible.
- Why it was selected: It offers a direct Flying Dutchman character design in a compact format.
- Keep in mind: The listed features do not describe a transparent finish or lighting effect.
Funko Pop SpongeBob As The Dutchman

- Best for: Collectors who want a SpongeBob character variation.
- Why it was selected: It connects SpongeBob directly to the Flying Dutchman theme.
- Keep in mind: Choose the standalone Dutchman Pop instead if you want the ghost pirate as the main character.

Buying Guide: How To Choose A Flying Dutchman Item
Are you looking for a transparent figure?
Choose the movie ship playset if translucency is the priority. Its listed figure is explicitly described as translucent and lights up in the crow’s nest. The other figures in this selection are presented as vinyl collectibles or plush, and their listed features do not claim a transparent finish.
Do you want play features or a display collectible?
The ship playset is the better fit for interactive play because it includes a ship, multiple figures, a rocking-motion feature, and crow’s-nest lighting. The Youtooz and Funko options are more focused on displaying a single character. Check the product details for the exact contents and features before choosing.
Which size and material suit your space?
The Funko figures are approximately 3.75 inches tall, while the Youtooz figure is 4.5 inches tall. The plush pillow is substantially larger at approximately 18 by 12 by 7 inches. Vinyl collectibles suit compact display spaces; the plush needs more room and is intended for cuddling.
Is this a gift for a child or a collector?
The ship playset and plush list an age guideline of 3 and up. The vinyl figures are described as collectibles. For a gift, compare the recipient’s interest in play, display items, or soft plush, and check the listing for current age guidance and included pieces.
