John Lennon postage stamps are available as commemorative Forever stamp sheets and as collectible international issues. The USPS-style commemorative sheet is best for fans seeking Lennon’s portrait, while multi-sheet listings suit collectors who want more copies. A Mali-issued collectible offers a non-U.S. option. The Bruce Lee stamps included below are not Lennon stamps, but may interest buyers comparing other music-and-culture commemoratives.

John Lennon Commemorative Forever Stamps
This sheet honors John Lennon as a songwriter, Beatles founding member, and solo artist. Its portrait was taken by photographer Bob Gruen for Lennon’s 1974 album Walls and Bridges. The image shows Lennon with messy hair and round-rimmed glasses; the sheet uses prismatic colors and includes his signature.
Best for: Beatles fans and collectors who want a Lennon-focused design in a single commemorative listing. The named photographer and album connection give the portrait useful context for display or collection notes.
Consider: The supplied details do not specify the number of stamps in this listing. Check the listing format if sheet quantity matters to your purchase.
Famous Singer Commemorative Stamp Sheets
This listing is identified as two sheets of 16, Scott 5315a. The stamps honor a world-renowned singer and songwriter who was a founding member of the Beatles and later had a successful solo career. The listing’s product name describes these as famous singer commemorative Forever stamps.
Best for: Buyers who want multiple copies or prefer a stated two-sheet quantity. It is a practical comparison with single-sheet listings when the amount included is a priority.
Consider: The provided features do not give the portrait or design details. Confirm the pictured item and sheet format before ordering if visual specifics are important.
John Lennon Imagine Stamp Sheets
The listing describes John Lennon commemorative Forever stamps and specifies five sheets of 16. The portrait is the Bob Gruen photograph associated with Walls and Bridges, showing Lennon in his familiar glasses. The product details also say the sheets are packaged between two sheets of chipboard for collectors.
Best for: Collectors who want a larger stated quantity and protective packaging for the sheets. It is better suited to building a collection than a buyer who only needs one sheet.
Consider: The title uses “Imagine,” while the supplied portrait description refers to the Walls and Bridges image. Review the listing’s current images and description to confirm the exact item presentation.
Mali Limited Edition John Lennon Stamps
This listing offers limited-edition collectible stamps for John Lennon. The product description identifies them as mint, never-hinged stamps, a condition description commonly relevant to collectors looking for unused stamps that have not been hinged.
Best for: Collectors interested in international Lennon-themed issues rather than U.S. postage. Its stated mint, never-hinged condition is a useful distinction from ordinary used stamps.
Consider: The seller explicitly notes that these stamps cannot be used for mailing in the United States. Choose them for collecting, not for sending domestic letters.
Bruce Lee Forever Stamps
This is not a John Lennon stamp. It is an adjacent option for collectors interested in commemoratives honoring famous cultural figures. The listing describes sheets of 20, featuring a black-and-white painting of Bruce Lee performing a flying kick against a yellow design on a white background. The product details state that Forever stamps remain valid for mailing one ounce regardless of future rate changes.
Best for: Buyers collecting a broader range of entertainment and cultural stamps, or those seeking a Bruce Lee issue. It is included as a clearly labeled alternative, not as a Lennon match.
Consider: Avoid this listing if your collection must specifically feature John Lennon.
Buying Guide: How To Choose John Lennon Stamps
Do you want stamps for mailing or collecting?
Start by checking whether the listing describes U.S. Forever postage or an international collectible. The Mali listing specifically says its stamps are not usable for mailing in the United States. For any purchase intended for postage, confirm the stamp’s stated postal status and the listing’s exact format.
How many sheets should you buy?
Compare the quantity stated in each title. The Famous Singer listing says two sheets of 16, while the Imagine listing says five sheets of 16. The first John Lennon listing does not specify a quantity in the supplied features, so verify that detail before choosing it.
Which design details matter to collectors?
Look for the portrait, image source, colors, and signature details. The USPS-style Lennon descriptions identify Bob Gruen’s photograph from the Walls and Bridges period and mention Lennon’s signature and prismatic colors. If a listing’s title and design description seem different, use the current product images and description to check what is being offered.
What does mint, never hinged mean?
For the Mali collectible, “mint never hinged” describes the stated condition of the stamps. If condition is central to your purchase, check the seller’s details and images, and distinguish that collecting description from whether a stamp can pay for U.S. postage.
