Affiliate Disclosure

At usefulproductlog.org, transparency and trust are central to how we review and recommend products. This page explains how our site participates in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates program, how we earn commissions, and what that means for you as a reader.

What affiliate participation means

We participate in various affiliate marketing programs, including the Amazon Associates Program. When you click on certain links on usefulproductlog.org and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. These commissions help support the ongoing research, testing, and editorial work that keeps this site running.

How commissions are earned

  • Click-through tracking: Affiliate links contain tracking information that attributes a sale or action to our site when you follow the link and complete a purchase.
  • Product purchases: If you buy a product after clicking an affiliate link, we receive a commission from the retailer. Commissions vary by program and product.
  • No extra cost to you: Commissions are paid by the retailer, not by you. The price you pay for a product is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer in most cases.

Our editorial independence

We maintain strict editorial standards. Our recommendations are based on hands-on testing, product research, and user feedback gathered by our team. Earning a commission does not influence the integrity of our reviews. If we recommend a product, it is because we believe it offers value, performance, or features that meet the needs described in the article.

How we decide what to recommend

  1. Research: We survey product specifications, manufacturer information, and reputable third-party reviews.
  2. Testing: When possible, team members test products in real-world conditions to evaluate performance and durability.
  3. Comparison: We compare alternatives on price, features, and long-term value to highlight the best options for different users.

Additional notes

  • Price and availability: Affiliate links may reflect limited-time pricing or availability. We do our best to keep information current, but prices can change without notice.
  • Multiple programs: We participate in a range of affiliate programs across various retailers. The specific program is not always obvious from the link.
  • Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, affiliate participation is only one part of how this site operates; it does not replace our commitment to honest, useful guidance.

By using usefulproductlog.org, you acknowledge and accept that we may earn commissions from affiliate links. Our primary goal remains the same: to help you find products that make life easier, safer, and more enjoyable.
